Thump. Pitter-patter-pitter-patter. I heard my granddaughter slide off the bed across the hall. The door handle turned and Avery poked her head into the room. Stuck
Held captive by the mud, the tires continued to spin. The longer we tried to manuever the car, the more apparent it became. We were stuck. The wedding celebration was 50 miles out into the country, so we used our GPS for directions. Chuckling to myself I thought “I wouldn’t be caught dead in this outfit! ” I had on a crumpled, brown and orange plaid shirt and red athletic shorts.
